First Baptist Church Terry was founded with a simple purpose: to glorify God by sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ with our community. Through every season, God has remained faithful, guiding our church as we seek to serve Terry, Hinds County, and beyond.

From humble beginnings to where we are today, FBC Terry has always been a place centered on Jesus, rooted in God’s Word, and committed to people. Generations of believers have gathered here to worship, pray, grow in faith, and build lasting relationships grounded in Christ’s love.

OUR MISSION

As our community has grown and changed, our mission has remained the same—to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God, love one another, and share the hope of the Gospel. We believe the church is more than a Sunday gathering; it is a family where people can truly know others and be known.

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

Throughout our history, God has used FBC Terry to minister to children, students, adults, and families through worship, Bible study, outreach, and service. We are passionate about creating a welcoming environment where everyone can experience the grace of Jesus and find encouragement for everyday life.

JESUS AT THE CENTER

Jesus continues to be the center of everything we do. Our worship, preaching, ministries, and fellowship all point to Him. We believe that our purpose is to make much of Jesus Christ and display His character through the way we live and love one another.

John 13:35 reminds us:
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
